COACH HIRE BUDAPEST
Professional Group Transport & Coach Rental in Hungary
Budapest is one of Europe's most visited cities, and getting a group around it — or across Hungary, or onward to Vienna, Prague, or Bratislava — takes more than good intentions. It takes the right vehicle, a reliable driver, and someone who has done it all before. That is what we do.
We provide coach hire and minibus hire throughout Budapest and Hungary, with a fleet ranging from 8-seat minibuses up to 60-seat full-size coaches. We also operate multiple vehicles simultaneously for large congresses and events. Whether your group is arriving at the airport, attending a conference, celebrating a wedding, exploring the city, or heading out to the Hungarian countryside, we have the vehicle and the experience to make it work.
We keep things simple: one fleet, all modern, all air-conditioned, all maintained to a high standard. Vehicles are matched to your group size so nobody is squeezed into something too small, and you are not paying for seats you do not need.

Longer journeys and multi-day tours use coaches equipped with reclining seats, onboard Wi-Fi, climate control, entertainment systems, and restrooms. For larger events requiring several vehicles at once, we handle the full logistics — scheduling, routing, and coordination — so you have a single point of contact rather than several moving parts.
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport handles millions of passengers a year, and for groups arriving from across Europe, the transfer from terminal to hotel is the first impression of the whole trip. We make sure it is a good one.
Our drivers track flights in real time. If your plane lands early or sits on the tarmac for an extra forty minutes, your driver already knows — there is no frantic calling around and no waiting at a taxi rank wondering what to do. Your driver will be in the arrivals hall with a name board, and your coach or minibus will be parked and ready.
For large delegations arriving on multiple flights, we coordinate a rotation of coaches throughout the day, ensuring every participant is collected without unnecessary waiting — however spread out the arrival schedule.
Budapest punches well above its weight as a conference destination. The city hosts international medical congresses, technology summits, trade fairs, and executive retreats throughout the year, drawing delegates from across Europe and beyond. Organising transport for these events is a different proposition from booking a single transfer — it requires planning, flexibility, and a company that understands how quickly things can change on the ground.
We work regularly with professional conference organisers, event management companies, and corporate travel teams. Our job is to make the transport side of your event invisible — delegates simply appear where they need to be, on time, without any fuss.
We provide dedicated account support for every event booking. If your programme changes at short notice — and in our experience, it always does — we adapt without drama.
Getting guests from A to B on a wedding day sounds straightforward. In practice, it involves multiple hotels, a ceremony venue, a reception location, a precise timeline, guests who are running late, and a bride who needs everything to be perfect. We have done this enough times to know exactly what can go wrong — and how to make sure it does not.
Our wedding minibus and coach hire covers everything from a single vehicle for the wedding party to a full shuttle operation moving hundreds of guests between venues across the day and late into the evening.
Vehicles can be decorated with ribbons at your request, and our drivers dress formally for the occasion. We work directly with wedding planners and couples to build a transport plan that fits your timeline exactly — down to the minute.
A private coach is one of the best ways to see Budapest with a group. You move at your own pace, you stop where you want, and nobody is rushing you onto a public bus with fifty strangers. We can provide the vehicle and driver, and if you would like a licensed local guide on board, we can arrange that too.
A typical private city tour takes in:
Tours can be arranged as a half-day, full-day, or evening programme. The itinerary is yours to shape — we simply make sure the transport side works perfectly around it. For travel agencies and tour operators running regular Budapest programmes, we offer competitive rates for ongoing partnerships.
Budapest is a wonderful city, but Hungary has a great deal more to offer beyond the capital. The countryside is diverse, largely uncrowded, and surprisingly easy to reach — most of the classic destinations are between one and three hours away by road. A day trip by private coach or minibus is the most comfortable and flexible way to experience them.
The Danube Bend is the most popular day excursion from Budapest, and deservedly so. Just north of the city, the river makes a dramatic right-angle turn through a landscape of forested hills and historic river towns. A classic day trip takes in three stops:
Central Europe's largest lake, Lake Balaton is a Hungarian institution — and once you have seen it on a clear summer day, it is easy to understand why. A day trip from Budapest (roughly 90 minutes to two hours by road) gives your group access to the refined resort town of Balatonfüred, the volcanic peninsula of Tihany with its famous Benedictine Abbey, the wine country around Badacsony, and the grand Festetics Palace in Keszthely. The lake is ideal for summer leisure groups, incentive travel, and cultural tours alike.
The baroque city of Eger is famous for three things: its castle — where a small Hungarian garrison famously held off an Ottoman army ten times its size in 1552 — its beautifully preserved historic town centre, and its wine. The Valley of the Beautiful Women just outside town is lined with wine cellars carved into the hillside, where the renowned Egri Bikavér (Bull's Blood) has been produced for centuries. Eger is around two hours from Budapest and works very well for groups interested in history, architecture, and Hungarian food and drink culture.
Southern Hungary's most culturally layered city, Pécs has been shaped by Roman settlers, Ottoman governors, and Habsburg administrators — and all of them left their mark. The UNESCO Early Christian Necropolis, the extraordinary Mosque of Pasha Gazi Kassim (now a Catholic church, and one of the most striking buildings in the country), and the excellent Csontváry Museum make for a genuinely rich cultural programme. Pécs was also a European Capital of Culture in 2010. Allow around 2.5 hours from Budapest each way.
The Hungarian Great Plain — the Puszta — is unlike anywhere else in Central Europe. A vast, flat, UNESCO World Heritage grassland landscape, it is home to the traditional horsemanship of the Hungarian csikós (herdsmen), the grey cattle and mangalica pigs of the Hortobágy National Park, and one of the most distinctive folk cultures in the region. A Puszta excursion from Budapest typically includes a horse show, a carriage ride, and a traditional goulash lunch — it is one of the most memorable and authentically Hungarian experiences available to international groups.
Depending on your group's interests and the time available, we also organise excursions to:
Budapest sits at the crossroads of Central Europe, within easy reach of some of the continent's most compelling cities. A private coach between capitals is not just a transfer — it is a comfortable, social journey where your group travels together, stops where it likes, and arrives as a group rather than scattered across an airport terminal.
The most-travelled cross-border route in the region. Vienna is around 2.5 to 3 hours by road — close enough for a very comfortable day trip, or a natural first or last leg of a broader Central European itinerary. The Habsburg imperial palaces, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Vienna State Opera, and the endlessly civilised coffee house culture of the Ringstrasse make Vienna an obvious companion to Budapest for groups with time on their side.
Just two hours away, Bratislava is one of the most underestimated capitals in Europe. Its old town is compact, walkable, and genuinely charming, the castle above the Danube offers sweeping views into three countries, and the Slovak food and wine scene has come a long way in recent years. Many groups combine Budapest, Bratislava, and Vienna into a single three-city itinerary — all three are within a triangle of roughly 350 kilometres.
A longer journey — around seven hours by road — but one that rewards the effort. Prague is arguably the most beautiful city in Central Europe, and its UNESCO-listed Old Town, the Charles Bridge, and the vast castle complex above the Vltava river are in a different league from almost anywhere else on the continent. We run this route as a one-way group transfer or as part of a multi-day Budapest–Prague tour, often with a night in Bratislava en route.
Slovenia's Ljubljana is growing rapidly in popularity with group travellers who want something a little off the beaten track. It is around five hours by road from Budapest, passing through western Hungary and the Slovenian Alps — scenic enough to make the drive part of the experience. The city itself is small, elegant, and very easy to enjoy, and Lake Bled is just 55 kilometres away — one of the most photographed landscapes in Europe, and well worth building into the itinerary.
We also operate group transfers and tours to:
Some of the best group travel experiences happen when there is no rush to be anywhere by evening. Multi-day coach tours give your group the freedom to go further, slow down, and actually get to know a place — rather than ticking it off a list from a moving window.
We plan and operate multi-day programmes across Hungary and Central Europe, handling everything from daily routing and driver scheduling to hotel coordination and guide arrangements. The itinerary is always built around your group's interests and pace — we have done enough of these to know that no two groups want the same thing.

All itineraries are fully customisable. We work with travel agents, tour operators, and event planners who need a reliable ground partner in the region — someone who knows the roads, the timing, the hidden lunch spots, and how to handle a thirty-minute delay without derailing the whole day.

For a standard transfer or single-vehicle booking, one to two weeks is usually fine. For large congress or event fleets, wedding transport, and multi-day tours, we recommend booking three to six months ahead — particularly between April and October, when demand across Budapest and Hungary is at its peak.
Yes, always. All our vehicles are booked with a professional, licensed driver included. This is both our standard practice and a requirement under European transport regulations — coach and minibus hire in this part of the world does not work on a self-drive basis.
Absolutely — this is something we do regularly for congresses, conferences, and larger events. Whether you need two coaches running in tandem or a full fleet rotating across an airport all day, we plan the logistics and give you a single point of contact to manage it all.
English is standard across our entire team. If your group speaks German, French, Italian, or another language, let us know when you enquire and we will do everything we can to match you with the right driver.
Yes. For city tours and day excursions, we can arrange a licensed, professional local guide to travel with your group alongside the driver. Just mention it in your enquiry and we will include it in the quote.
Pricing depends on the vehicle size, the duration, and the distance involved. As a general guide, minibus hire starts from around €250 per day and full-size coach hire from around €600 per day. Multi-day tours and international routes are priced individually based on the full itinerary. We always provide a clear, itemised quote with no hidden fees — get in touch and we will turn one around within 24 hours.
