Debrecen is close to the eastern border, and this is the second largest city of Hungary. It is usually called the „Calvinist Rome”, becuase in the past it was the Calvinistic centre of the region. In the centre of the city, on the Kossuth Square you can see the Reformered Great Church which is one of the most well-known Classicist historic monuments of Hungary. In the western tower you can see the famous „Rákóczi-bell”, what is 5 tons weight. 
 
If you are interested in arts, the Déry Museum is a great place for you! It is famous for the painting of Christ trilogy, and other well-known exhibitions.

The Hortobágy is also very close to Debrecen, where you can take photos of the famous „Nine-hole” Bridge. In the National Park you can experience the wonder of the infinite horizon, the wildlife of the birds, cattles and horses and the real „puszta” lifestyle.
